Criteria for Membership,

(as outlined by the NJHS)

 

                  Students will need to maintain a 94% cumulative average in all classes to be invited to join. Invitations will be sent to those who meet the grade average. At that time, students wishing consideration will complete an application and essay.  Upon completion (of all parts) and submission of the form, each applicant will be accorded points for each criterion of membership. Once a student is selected as a member, they will immediately join the service project,  attend meetings, and begin their individual service hours. 

Students that will be current 7th or 8th graders that met the academic requirement will receive an invitation to join at the beginning of the school year.  Sixth graders  can qualify after the first semester, beginning in January, as well as any 7th or 8th grader that is not currently a member.

Meetings will take place after school either once or twice a month (TBA) from 2:45-3:30.  Adequate advanced notification will be given for meetings lasting longer than the regular time.  Attending meetings is mandatory.
