Scholarship:

 

Students who have a cumulative grade point average of 94% or higher meet the scholarship requirement for membership. A faculty review committee will complete the application process. Once a member, students who don’t meet the academic criteria of 94%  will receive a letter of probation and be expected to meet criteria next mid-quarter review. If a student has still not met the criteria, the student’s membership will be terminated.  Once a membership is terminated, he or she may not reapply for membership.

 

 

Service:

 

This quality is defined through the voluntary contributions made by a student to the school and community, done without compensation and with a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic spirit. Choices might include scouting, church activities, mentoring, or working with members of a population other than their peer group.   Students will be required to complete in school and out of school hours.

 

 

Leadership:

 

Student  leaders are those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, promoters of school activities, idea-contributors, dependable, and persons who exemplify positive attitudes about life.  Leadership experiences can be drawn from school , church, or other community activities while working with or for others.

 

 

Character:

 

The student of good character upholds principles of morality and ethics, is cooperative, demonstrates high standards of behavior, honesty and reliability, shows courtesy, concern and respect for others. Students will complete a character essay as part of the application process.

 

 

Citizenship:

 

The student who demonstrates citizenship understands the importance of civic involvement, has a high regard for freedom, justice, and democracy, and demonstrates mature participation and responsibility through involvement with such activities as scouting, community organizations, and school clubs. It is highly recommended that each member remains active in at least one club, team, or organization , as to foster citizenship and be a good role model for those they come into contact with.
